I’m Maddy — a photographer with an easygoing style and a deep love for capturing people in their most genuine, joyful moments. I first picked up a camera in college, photographing friends at get-togethers and graduation celebrations. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into something more meaningful, and I spent the next few years teaching myself the craft and learning from industry professionals while second-shooting weddings.

In 2015, I turned that passion into a business based in the San Francisco Bay Area and spent the following years photographing couples, families, and events throughout Northern California in beautiful landscapes like Carmel, Lake Tahoe, Wine Country, and beyond. While the California coast will always have my heart, I’m equally inspired by the challenge of new settings, from modern city venues to rustic outdoor spaces. If there’s beautiful light and real emotion, I’m in!

Somewhere along the way, photographing weddings and couples became one of the most rewarding parts of my work. There’s something powerful about witnessing two people in the quiet in-between moments, the unplanned laughter, the way love shows up differently in every relationship. Capturing those moments makes me feel deeply connected to the art of storytelling and reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

For the past eight years, I’ve been rooted in Santa Cruz. During that time, I also operated Little Cove Cocktail Co., my mobile bartending business within the wedding industry. Experiencing events from both sides, behind the camera and behind the bar, has given me a unique appreciation for the rhythm, emotion, and care that go into making each celebration meaningful.
